Incentives & rewards

Incentives come in different forms, they can be monetary (government grants) & non-monetary (rankings, career development, awards) & aimed at both students & staff.

Why rewarding sustainable behaviour with money is a bad idea

In addition to benefiting the environment, this would also have the potential to create jobs and generate economic activity. In short, dangling the proverbial carrot to encourage sustainable behaviour is a win-win proposition that could help address one of the most pressing challenges of our time. Or is it?
